There are 3 key areas that we look for in a linguist and these 3 key areas are: Certification or Accreditation, Experience and
Competitiveness.
Certification or Accreditation
At the moment, we only accept application from translators who are certified or accredited.
Certification - An example would be "Certified Translator by the Institute Of Linguists, London, UK"
Accreditation - An example would be "Accredited by University of Nantes, France in Translation from English to French"
It is of an added advantage if you are a graduate in linguistic sciences from a reputable university.
Experience
We require at
least 3 years of experience as a professional linguist specializing in any of the following fields; legal, medical, financial, technical, marketing and technology.
Competitiveness
We are
constantly receiving resumes from qualified freelance translators and therefore it is very important to be able to demonstrate competitive edgeness.
We are looking for professional translators and expert linguists in the following languages.
Afrikaans, Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Belorussian, Bengoli, Bulgarian, Burmese, Cambodian,

Ilocano, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Javanese, Kashmiri, Kazakh, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese
(Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Mexico), Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog (Phillipines), Thai, Tibetan, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek,
Vietnamese, Yiddish.
Our minimum requirements are:
- Must be Accredited or Certified by a Local or an International Recognized Linguistic Association
- 3 years of experience as professional linguist specialization in legal, medical, financial, technical or web translations
- Excellent professional references
- Native speaker of language you are translating into ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality translation
- Attention to detail
- Should be computer literate and have unrestricted access to common computer applications (Word, Adobe Pagemaker, etc.), as well as
Internet access
- Ability to use and be consistent in your translations with provided reference materials
